Atieva Moving Forward With Autonomous Driving

PALO ALTO, CA- Atieva, a Silicon Valley Company (founded in 2007 by former Tesla vice president Bernard Tse, and Astoria Networks founder Sam Weng) sets out to build the greatest car in the world. They have a long way to go if they want to beat Tesla, perhaps this is why they have recently hired a former GM and Chrysler engineer to focus on the autonomous driving portion of the car.

There is no doubt that self-driving cars are the future- and Atieva sees this too. There is little information available about the actual car they have. After searching around, I discovered that it might have a comparable range equal to Tesla at 300 mile, be aesthetically pleasing, and autonomous. It is quite possible that Atieva is using their battery cells from the SK Group out of Korea and their electric motors from Siemens in Germany. It will be exciting to see what they bring to the market and if it will truly be the greatest car in the world.

Recent legislation has passed enabling small businesses to enter the market by bypassing safety test for manufacturers producing 300 cars or less. So get ready to see more and more automobiles produced in the United States. This will undoubtedly spear an innovation and forever change the U.S. landscape of the American auto industry.
